JEE Mains 2015: Important instructions for Computer Based Test (CBT)

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to conduct the Main examinations for Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) 2015, in the coming month that is April 2015. The Computer Based Test (CBT) for JEE Main against the academic session of 2015 is tentatively scheduled to be conducted on 10 April and 11 April, 2015. Read below to know about the important instructions set for candidates who are supposed to appear for the entrance exam this year.

JEE Mains 2015: Important instructions for Computer Based Test (CBT)

  • Aspirants willing to score well in the exam and get used to the online exam pattern, they should take a sample/mock test which is available on the official website of JEE (Main) for practice.
  •  The test would commence exactly at the time mentioned in the admit card and an invigilator would be there for an announcement of the exam commencement.
  • The time duration for the CBT is of three hours.
  • The test would include questions of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics having equal weightage.
  • Each question would be carrying four marks.
  • One-fourth mark i.e. one mark would be deducted for each incorrect answer and no deduction from the total score would be made, in case no response is indicated for a question.
  • Only one correct option would be correct among the four options provided for each question.
  • All calculations/writing work are to be done only in a rough sheet provided at the centre and on completion of the test candidates must hand over the rough sheets to the invigilator on duty in the room/hall.
  • During the exam the on-duty invigilator would check the admit cards of the candidates in order to confirm their identities.
  •  The candidates are governed by all Rules and Regulations of the Board with regard to their conduct in the Examination Hall. All cases of unfair means would be dealt with as per rules.
  • It is mandatory for all candidates appearing in the exam to sign the attendance sheet at the appropriate place.
