Indian Army has published a Notification to  invite applications from eligible Male candidates for recruitment of as Havildar (Surveyor Automated Cartographer) in the Army. Age Limit:

Civilian Candidates – 20 to 25 years as on 01 Oct 2016 (i.e candidates born between 01 Oct 1991 to 30 Sep 1996).
Serving Combatants on Remusteration – 20 to 28 years as on 01 Oct 2016 (i.e candidates born between 01 Oct 1988 to 30 Sep 1996).

Pay Scale: On completion of successful training the Havildar (Surveyor Automated Cartographer) will be placed in pay band-1 (₹ 5200-20200) as per 6th Pay Commission. In addition they will also be entitled to Grade Pay (₹ 2800) + Military Service Pay (₹ 2000) + Group X Pay (₹ 1400) per month. In addition you will be entitled to DA, free accommodation, Group Insurance, entitled ration for self, uniform, free medical and leave travel concession for self, family, and dependents, canteen facilities and other allowances as admissible to the regular Army.

Educational Qualification: BA/ B.Com/ B.Sc/ BE/ B.Tech with Mathematics, having passed 12th Class (10+2) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects from a Recognised Board/ University.

Mode of Recruitment:

(A) Screening – Screening of the candidates will be carried out from 25-29 Jul 2016 at BEG and Centre, Roorkee.
(B) Physical Fitness Test – Physical fitness test will be as follows:- (1) 1.6 Km Run – In 6 minutes and 20 seconds, (2) Pull Ups (Beam) – Minimum 6 pull ups, (3) Zig Zag Balance – Qualify, (4) 9 Feet Ditch – Qualify.
(C) Medical Standards – A candidate should have robust physique and mental health,
chest should be well developed having minimum 5 cm expansion, should have normal hearing
with each ear. Should have sufficient number of natural health gum and teeth i.e.14 dental points. Should have no diseases like deformity of bones, hydrocele, varicose veins or piles. Remustering candidates should be in medical category SHAPE-1 in terms of Special Army Order 6/S/2005/Rtg dated 05 Aug 2005 as amended from time to time.
(D) Written Examination – Only those candidates who are selected in the screening will be permitted to appear in the written examination which will be conducted at BEG and Centre, Roorkee on 31 Jul 2016. Candidate has to score min of 40 marks each in Paper 1 and Paper 2 separately. The written examination will comprise of two papers as follows:-

Indian Army Havildar Recruitment 2016. Indian Army has released a notification to  invite prescribed application format from eligible Male Indian Nationals for recruitment of Havildar Education in Science and Arts in the Army Educational Corps. The last date for submission of online applications is 15th May 2016.

Pay and Allowances.

(a) Group ‘X’ (PG/Bachelor Degree with B.Ed) on completion of successful training you will be placed in the Pay Band-1 (₹ 5200-20200) as per 6th Pay Commission. You will also be entitled to Grade Pay (₹ 2800) + Military Service Pay (₹ 2000) + Group ‘X’ Pay (₹ 1400) per month.
(b) Group ‘Y’ (Bachelor degree without B.Ed) on completion of successful training you will be placed in the Pay Band-1 (₹ 5200-20200) as per 6th Pay Commission. You will also be entitled to Grade Pay (₹ 2800) + Military Service Pay (₹ 2000) per month.

Educational Qualifications: The candidate must have working knowledge of both English and Hindi. Should have graduated from a recognised university in any of the following subjects at PG/graduation level.

(a) Science Stream -> M.Sc/ B.Sc/ MCA/ BCA/ M.Tech/ B.Tech/ B.Sc(IT) with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botony, Zoology, Biology, Electronics and Computer Science.
(b) Arts Stream -> MA/ BA with English Literature, Hindi Literature, Urdu Literature, History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Psychology, Mathematics and Sociology.

Mode of Recruitment:

(A) Screening -> Screening of candidates will be carried out as per programme issued by Recruiting Offices. Details may be obtained from respective ZROs/IRO.

(B) Physical Fitness Test -> Physical fitness test will be as follows:- (a) 1.6 Km in maximum 6 Minutes and 20 Seconds, (b) Pull ups (Beam) – minimum 6 pull ups, (c) Zig Zag balance – must pass, (d) 9 Feet ditch – must pass.

The written examination will consist of one composite paper of 2 hours duration, composed of two parts. Candidates will have to pass in both the parts separately. Science candidates will attempt Part-I and Part-II (Science), while Arts candidates will attempt Part¬I and Part-II (Arts). Candidates must mention the stream opted for in the application. Qualifying in the Written Examination. Candidates will be required to score a minimum of 40% i.e 20 marks each in Part I and Part II separately to be declared pass depending on the stream chosen.

(a) Part –1 (Compulsory for all candidates) It will consist of 50 questions on General Knowledge and General English. (Max marks is 50 and pass marks is 20)

(b) Part – II (Science Stream) Compulsory for Science Stream candidates. This part will comprise of Questions from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science. Candidates will be required to attempt all questions. (Max marks for Part-II (Science) are 50 and pass marks are 20).

(c) Part – II (Arts Stream) Compulsory only for MA/BA candidates. This part will comprise questions from Mathematics,History, Geography, Political Science and Economics. Candidates will be required to attempt all questions (Max marks for Part II (Arts) is 50 and Pass marks is 20).

(d) Candidates are required to pass in Part – I and Part – II separately depending on stream chosen. Stream (Science/Arts) will be specifically indicated in the application form.

(e) All answers will be marked on OMR answer sheet.

(E) Teaching Aptitude Test/Interview –> Candidates declared successful in the above written examination and placed in the merit list will appear for Teaching Aptitude Test/Interview to be conducted at AEC Training College & Centre, Pachmarhi (MP). Candidates qualifying in the Written Test, Teaching Aptitude Test/Interview and placed in the merit list will be enrolled in the Army Educational Corps.
