IIM CAT admit cards 2015: The official notification regarding the CAT 2015 examination was released on July 26. The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2015 would take place on November 29, for which the registrations began on 6th August. The admit cards for the same will release on 15th October.The official notification contains every detail regarding the exam, including the changes in the test pattern that have been introduced this year.

Common Admission Test (CAT) is a computer based test which is a pre-requisite for the admission to various management programmes of IIMs, Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bharathidasan Institute of Management-Tiruchirappalli (BIM-Trichy), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) and few other institutions. It is a test which evaluates a person ability on the bases of quantitative ability, data interpretation, verbal ability and logical reasoning.

The eligibility criteria and the paper pattern for all the candidates who are willing to pursue management courses in the IIM’s and IIT’s and other institutions can check the details.

Eligibility criteria:

  • All the aspiring candidates must possess minimum 50 per cent aggregate marks in graduation in any discipline from any of the recognised institute. Even the final year graduation students can also apply, provided they submit the graduation final marks to the institutes.

Paper pattern: The time frame of the test will be 180 minutes. There will be three sections,

  • Quantitative Aptitude (QA)
  • Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) and
  • Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VRC).

Quantitative aptitude and VRC will have 34 questions each and Data Interpretation and Logical reasoning  will have 32 questions. The results of the exam is expected to be declared by the third week of December.

Common Admission test is  one of the most competitive MBA entrance exam which is conducted across the country and will be given by around 2 lakh candidates. It is conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management for admissions to 21 IIMs and around 100 B-schools across India on a rotation policy. The test will be held across 115 centres and will be conducted in a single day in 2 slots this year.

The  result is expected to be declared by the third week of December.
