CBSE board exam 2015: Paper analysis of Physics question paper. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted Physics exam for Class XII on March 9. Physics is one of the main subjects for students who have opted for Science stream and the students were allotted five days for the preparation of the exam. CBSE has changed its paper pattern for 2015 board exams and the students have said that the questions are very lengthy and subjective. Pranavi Mulmuley, a student of DPS Mathura Road said, “The questions were very lengthy and tough. I attempted all the questions, but I wasn’t left with time.” So far, CBSE has conducted three main examinations (English, Business Studies and Physics) and all three have been lengthy.
Analysis of the Physics question paper:The question paper was distributed in three different sets and there were five sections in each question paper. The students were given a choice for most of the questions.
Section A- The section had five questions which were objective and carried one mark each
Section B- The section had five questions which were two markers. The questions were subjective and valued less marks as compared to the questions
Section C- The section had 12 questions and the questions were descriptive and application based
Section D- There was one numerical based question in this section which required the use of formulaes, applications and reasoning
Section E- There were seven questions in the sections and the students were given choices to attempt the questions. This section was very lengthy and time-consuming
All we can do is hope that the forthcoming papers are not lengthy. Until then, All the best!
